I obtained my bachelor's in systems biology from the University of Hyderabad, India. During my undergraduate research, I worked on developing a mathematical model to understand the immune suppressive effects of steroids and cancer cells. I am currently a Max Planck School Matter to Life master's student with a focus on complex systems and biological physics at the University of Göttingen, Germany. In 2024, I joined the Zwicker group as an intern, and I am currently working on understanding the phase separation of multicomponent mixtures to gain more insight into properties that stabilize biological condensates.

Xizhu studied physics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. For his bachelor’s thesis, he studied the conformation transition and regulation mechanism of riboswitch with Hidden Markov Model. Xizhu joined the group of David Zwicker as an intern for Matter to Life lab rotation from January to March, 2024. During this project, he will focus on the simulation of phase separation in multi-component systems.

I am a Physics student at Georg-August-University in Göttingen, where I have been studying since 2019. My academic interests lie in the interdisciplinary field between physics and biology, which led me to join the Zwicker Group for my bachelor thesis starting in April '23. In this project, I will study chemically active droplets. Outside of my studies, I enjoy being physically active and especially playing handball.
